5K and Fun Run!

Join Parks and Recreation this Saturday, May 11

at Utica District Park for a doggy fun day!

Start the day off by taking part in our first annual 5k9 or BFFR!

This is a celebration of fitness, fun, and "Fido", whether you

walk it or jog it, with or without a dog, this event 

is all about fun!

The 5k9 check in starts at 7:00 am 

race starts at 8:30am, and the price is only $35!

BFFR, a mile run, check in start at 6:30 am 

and race starts at 7:30am.  Cost is $25.

Next take your dog (with free admission if signed up for 

either race) to our Annual Bark in the Park Event. 

At just $5 per dog, your pooch can run

free in the off leash areas, test and sharpen  his or her skills 

on the agility course, participate in doggie contests, 

and make new friends!  

Event starts at 10:00am rain or shine.

Fit Girls

Are you a girl in the 4th or 5th grade?

Do you like exercising your mind and body?

Join us for Fit Girls! a running and reading program

that promotes healthy bodies, healthy minds, and healthy hearts!

Girls will have fun building self-esteem and confidence while playing 

games, doing activities and participating in  non-competitive walking/running

workouts designed to build endurance to complete a 5k.

Camp Swim + Camp Monocacy = A Perfect Pair!

Camp Monocacy is coming to Walkersville Rec Center

for all seven weeks of the summer!

Starting the week of June 24, campers can enjoy 

games, arts and crafts, and sports that reflect the weekly theme!

Plus at only $135/week our camp is affordable too!

And NEW this year (and only at the Walkersville location)

CAMP SWIM!

For  an additional $19 a week, campers will get an hour

of pool time (M-TH) at Walkersville High School for free swim, games, and safety talks.

New Aquatics Program in Walkersville!

Frederick County Parks and Recreation and

Frederick County Public Schools have partnered up

to offer an exciting new Aquatics program at

Walkersville High School Pool!

Registration will begin (online only) February 22 at 5pm for 

all levels of Swim Lessons; from Preschool to Adult.

Also parent/child classes will be available for 

children 6 mo-3 years.
